Filing bankruptcy in NY state?

Anyone ever file for bankruptcy in NY state or know anything about what the qualifications are? I’m thinking about doing it but I’m not sure if I can. (Personal not business) Anyone with useful information only please. Thankfulness in advance.

I would sit down with a bankruptcy attorney (usually initially consultation is emancipated) to see what the boards you would be eligible for initially and if you even need to file. There may be other options such as a Debt Management Program that you could take advantage of instead of ruining your credit with bankruptcy. Excellent Luck!
