How do I go about getting a personal loan when I have no credit?

I am 18, just getting prepared to go to college, and I have no credit whatsoever. I don’t need student loans because my dad pays for my school. But, my boyfriend and I live collectively and we just bought $1500 worth of furniture from his brother. Now, we were supposed to stick to a payment plot since we don’t have a huge income, but they want the money now. My boyfriend is just going through bankruptcy so he cannot make a loan of any sort. How can I go about getting a personal loan to pay them off? We are both employed so I am not worried about paying it off, I am clueless as to how to even make the loan if I can. Any and all aid would be appreciated. Thankfulness!

you will need a cosigner, or beable to build some credit. you can do that pretty simple. make a cell phone a make sure you pay your bill on time. once you have a phone, electricity, ect hooked up in your name, all of these build credit. make a credit card. buy one thing and pay it off. that will build your credit quick too.

Ok since you dont have credit you can either apply for a small school loan and take the money directly which is in a way fraud but you are in school and school loans cant be denied to any one unless they have retched credit.
Your other option is that you will need a cosigner that has excellent credit and that a bank would approve so pretty much they have to have credit and be able to cover the payment amount in case you should become unable to pay the amount and go to a credit union they typically approve simpler over a major bank branch so excellent luck with your loan

You would have to find a excellent co-signer who will sign for you. If you got the furniture from his brother, and agreed to payment arrangements, they can’t really question for all the money up front. You should have been smart and gotten it in writing….
