personal bankruptcy, If someone bankrupt does it affect his/her family as well?

MY husband wants to bankrupt his self as his debt is high and he is not able to pay them, if he bankrupt does it affect me as well? as his wife, is there any record about me for my credit or its only him?

It doesn’t go on your credit if that’s what you’re asking, but it would be hard for a spouse’s bankruptcy to not affect their spouse in some way, at smallest amount indirectly.
In most states there are community property laws, so that if HE claims bankruptcy… so do YOU….
