Trouble finding Apartment

I have been looking for a house to live for over a month. I have a family tree of six – me, my wife, four children (6 yr ancient twins, 2 yr ancient, 2 month ancient) and a year and a half ago I came out of a personal bankruptcy (effects only my credit and not my wife’s). We are moving from one town to another and can only afford a 3bd apartment. I have been rejected numerous times and laughed at outright when inquiring about apartments. We currently own a household in the town we live in now but selling it for downpayment money won’t work because of my credit. Any one out there got any incredible thoughts on how I can find a house to live with the chips stacked against me?

Look for confidential landlords (not agency’s) Be frank with them. Caution them that you have made terrible financial judgments in the past but that you have everything in order and will never let thing make that terrible again. You may need to offer 1st & last months rent along with a larger security deposit. Excellent luck to you and your family tree.
