Question by _______: Do Republicans really reckon people will be impressed with their teeny tiny budget cut proposals?
Republicans are using all this lofty rhetoric about how the “spending spree is over” so far they are only proposing to cut $ 32 billion (which is $ 68 billion less than what was already a small promise during the campaign of $ 100 billion) from a budget facing a $ 1.5 TRILLION deficit this year. Even better, they are going to INCREASE defense spending (which is about $ 800 billion per year including costs for Iraq, Afghanistan aptly now) and have announced no plans to reduce the amount of foreign bolster money the U.S. spends.
This is a joke aptly?

WASHINGTON – Republicans now controlling the Household promised Thursday to slash domestic agencies’ budgets by nearly 20 percent for the coming year, the initially bombardment in what’s sure to be a bruising battle over their drive to cut spending to where it was before President Barack Obama took office.
“Washington’s spending spree is over,” declared Paul Ryan, the Household Budget Committee chairman who announced the plot. “The spending limits will restore sanity to a broken budget administer,” he said, returning “to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels.”
Republicans won’t make everything they want. Democrats are in charge of the White Household and the Council, and even Household Republicans may have second thoughts when the magnitude of the cuts sinks in.
@Aubrey……..”what i find incredible is that the liberals consider 32,000,000,000 tiny. I guess thats why were 14,000,000,000,000 in debt aptly now.”
You can’t use apocalyptic rhetoric about the U.S. budget then propose to curt less than 1% of it.
This has nothing to do with “liberal”. It would seem fake @ss conservatives are about to make duped again by Republican lofty govt. Excellent luck with that…..
rabidkitty……”I did not bother with your wall of copy.”
Yes, those three sentences were SO long……..lol
Of course Democrats are saying that, they just got their @sses kicked at the polls over this VERY issue.
john doe……..”Small budget cuts compared to GIANT new spending programs from the Democrats. I will stick with the GOP thankfulness”
If this is the preeminent Republicans can do when they don’t control the White Household. Then what makes you reckon anything will change once they do?
Have you people COMPLETELY forgotten how much debt the last Republican administration racked up. Are you really going to watch this happen again?
Obama the puppet…….”which they say will save $ 74 billion when compared with the budget President Obama”
So Obama wants to run a $ 1.5 trillion deficit and Republicans want to run a $ 1.4 trillion deficit. Gotta like that “fiscal conservatism”……..lol
joe………”Taking shots at people in the manner of this question is a exact example of the despise rhetoric that has been a regular topic of discussion since the shooting in Tucson.”
lol…….Ok. Or not.

I believe they are using the budget issue to bully the vulnerable in society. By weakening people they are less able to resist the agenda of the aptly.
cuts are cuts. it has to initiation somewhere.
Obama and the dems shelved their own commission report. Simpson/Bowles said cut $ 450 billion now! The GOP submitted $ 250 billion now. Oh look where that finished up? Obama froze the federal payroll. WOW, that’s a real cut. What a few hundred million over several years? I guess Obama’s on the aptly track when he stairs at $ 1.5 trillion to the debt his budget added.
Paul Ryan’s proposal is not the final say in the budget administer.
It is much much better than what the democrats have done. At smallest amount the republicans are cutting spending some. You are right even if. It is not near enough and I am not impressed. Just being better than the democrats is not even close to be excellent enough.
I did not bother with your wall of copy. What I did read, is an article today, Harry Reid reluctantly agreed to the moratorium on spending. DEAL WITH IT. Even the head dem realizes its a terrible time to spend.

I’ve heard a lot of different proposals. I’ll wait and see if I’m impressed with what they really place forth to vote on.
Seems like their fuzzy math has gone to furry math . They are a joke ..
Cuts are better then spending. Why aren’t you Democrats helping to make the cuts much larger.
Republicans unveiled their 2011 budget spending cuts Thursday, which they say will save $ 74 billion when compared with the budget President Obama plans to roll out Feb. 14, but passage could face a number of hurdles.

Any spending cuts are a step in the aptly direction for the federal government. Taking shots at people in the manner of this question is a exact example of the despise rhetoric that has been a regular topic of discussion since the shooting in Tucson.
