Question by Hawkeye: Does McCain’s lack of coherent economic policy interest you?
http://www.newsweek.com/id/136779?from=rss?nav=line up
Newsweek took apart McCain’s stance on earmarks as well his ludicrous budget “plot.” He has claimed he would veto any bill containing earmarks were he to become prez. He also says he will hold steady or slightly boost defense spending. According to the breakdown Newsweek did such actions will require 18% across the board cuts for eveything non-defense related. Who needs roads, clean air and water, and electricy, aptly?? Not to mention the FACT that nearly 20% of earmarks are defense related… so McCain’s budget is in effect an oxymoron. And those cuts will be required BEFORE he gives rich people like himself further tariff breaks…which of course will require further budget cuts… and there will be no money left for paying down our tremendous debt. Hmmmm..
Does this interest you, and if you support such a “budget” please clarify why?
Finally, if you are not going to bother to read the article you are manslaughter your time…
Really, I’m a registered Independent…. I haven’t gotten to vote for any of these folks so far… and I wouldn’t vote for Billary if they were handing out $ 100 bills (and I wouldn’t place it past the Clinton’s).
I’m not for increasing taxes… unless that is what the situation calls for, then I will gladly pay my even higher taxes. The point of my question is that making claims is one thing (as Obama needs to be reminded) but putting them into effect is another… and McCain’s “plot” seems pretty disingenuous when you look at it closely.

No, because I trust his judgment much more than either of the Democratic candidates.

Hillary has said she wishes to freeze interest tariff, give federal dollars to new borns, verbally attacks oil companies, and is anti-emancipated trade.
Obama is anti emancipated trade.
Both have laid aver to vote getting populism which to a thinking man, is repugnant.
Obamas lack of coherent policies on anything scares me!
so you reckon raising taxes is better than cutting spending?
Gee, are you a democrat?????
No. Any economic policy he comes up with muct be better than what Clinton or Obama plot to do. Either of them will ruin the nation..
I’m still waiting to see what the smoke screen that is called Obama’s Hope and Change platform will do for me before I make a choice. How can you compare it honestly when there is nothing to compare it to?
