How much does a motel usually cost on a weeknight? I mean just a regular, cheap one for one night. Isn’t it usually around $ 20? I’m just not sure.

I’m 18 and might be driving to see a friend who lives states away, so I’m trying to plot out sort of a “budget” and figure out around how much I’ll be spending to make up there. Even if with gas prices so high, I’ll probably end up flying. I just need to know average motel prices, and also do I need a credit card? Or can I make around that by just using cash?

Lately I’ve been seeing motel six and a bunch of chains like that charge like 39.95 or a touch per night/person.
I’m quite sure there are in detail cheaper ones, even if.
